Restore Yoga+Wellness to Offer Donation-Based Class to Benefit the Friendlier City Project

Restore Yoga + Wellness will offer a donation-based yoga class to benefit The Friendlier City Project on Sunday, December 18, 2022 at 6 p.m. at the studio located at 150 West Main Street, Saint Clairsville, Ohio.

Restore Yoga’s owner Nicole Snodgrass and studio manager/teacher Tricia Hayes-Clift are excited to offer this class. “With us, you can feel right at home while discovering new ways to take care of yourself mindfully,” they said. “At Restore, we recognize the necessity of connecting with others as part of a larger collective. The practice of yoga is an emotional journey that we strive to make welcoming and inclusive for all who come through our doors. We are delighted to have recently begun organizing donation classes and look forward to offering even more activities that serve our local communities in the future.”

Donations given by those in attendance will benefit the FCP’s mission of providing a safe space for Wheeling’s queer community to connect, share resources and advocate for issues that impact their lives. The group recently hosted a Thanksgiving holiday event for those who may not have been able to celebrate with family and they are planning other events in the future, such as a Pride month gathering and a public art installation. Snodgrass and Hayes-Clift told Weelunk that inclusivity is important to the staff at Restore. “Creating a safe space for all as they move through life’s journey is top of mind here. Donating to the FCP was a natural step in that direction for us and our community.”

Hayes-Clift will lead this class and guests can expect an hour of gentle flow appropriate for all levels of yoga practice. It will be geared toward releasing stress and calming the body and mind, allowing those who attend to leave refreshed and ready to step into the holidays.
